Word of the Week: COURAGE

There comes a point in life when you have to decide:
Am I going to keep accepting where I am—or am I going to have the courage to change where I’m going?
This week’s Word of the Week is COURAGE.
When we think about courage, we often think about doing something heroic or overcoming some enormous obstacle. But courage doesn’t always look dramatic.
Sometimes courage is simply making a decision you’ve been putting off.
It’s walking into the gym when you feel out of shape.
It’s changing the way you eat when old habits have become comfortable.
It’s scheduling the appointment you’ve been avoiding.
It’s getting back up after you’ve tried before and didn’t get the results you wanted.
And sometimes courage is looking in the mirror and admitting, “I need to make some changes.”
Courage Doesn’t Mean You’re Not Afraid
One of the biggest misconceptions about courage is that courageous people aren’t afraid.
They are.
They simply decide that what they want on the other side of that fear is more important than allowing the fear to stop them.
That matters tremendously when it comes to our health—especially after 50.
Maybe you’ve gained weight.
Maybe you’ve lost strength and muscle.
Maybe your energy isn’t what it used to be.
Maybe your joints hurt more, your body has changed, or the things that worked for you 10 or 20 years ago don’t seem to work anymore.
It can be frustrating.
But frustration doesn’t have to become surrender.
Your age does not mean you stop working on yourself.
Your past does not determine what you do next.
And you don’t have to wait until everything is perfect before you begin.
Sometimes you just need enough courage to take the next step.
Watch This Week’s Short Video
I recorded a short Word of the Week video about COURAGE, and I want to personally invite you to watch it.
As you watch, ask yourself one question:
What would I do differently right now if I stopped allowing fear, doubt, embarrassment, or my past failures to make my decisions for me?
Don't just watch the video for motivation.
Use it as a challenge.
Because the goal isn’t simply to feel inspired for a few minutes. The goal is to turn that inspiration into action.
Ready to Take the Next Step?
If you’re over 50 and you’ve been wondering why your body seems to be changing—and what you can actually do about it—I’d also like to personally invite you to my next live webinar:
“Why Your Body Changes After 50 — and What You Can Do About It.”
We’ll talk about some of the biggest challenges adults face after 50, including changes in weight, metabolism, muscle, nutrition, hormones, sleep, strength, stress, mindset, and accountability—and practical steps you can begin taking to move in a healthier direction.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start.
You don't have to be in great shape.
You don't have to wait for Monday, next month, or another New Year's resolution.
I hope you’ll watch this week’s video—and then join me for the webinar.
It may be time to stop wondering what could change and have the courage to find out.
